Christmas, Hong Kong, and Disneyland

We had such a great time in Hong Kong. It is really pretty there and we had a great view of the Harbor from our room. We were there for a week and saw alot of the city. We mostly took the subway places, we had a station next to our hotel and took a city tour on a double decker bus and used the ferries. We went to Disneyland for 2 days. It is nice but much smaller than Orlando(with bad food also. But they had some of the kids favorite rides including Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain, Dumbo, teacups, and It's a small world. They are exactly like the other ones, and they have Main Street, Princess Aurora's castle, and parades just like Orlando. We saw the Christmas parade and it was so pretty. They had the characters out in the park dressed in Christmas clothes and even Santa was there, so we had pictures taken, since the kids did not see him before Christmas. Unfortunately for Lauren, they stopped all of the High School Musical shows and did not have any merchandise in the shops because of the Christmas items. The subway has their own Disney train with Mickey Mouse shaped windows and hand grips.
It was only a 3.5 hour flight, so not too bad. The weather was in the low 60's each day, a little warmer the last 2 days we were there and the kids were up late each night. I don't know how they got up today for school. Marshall even made it up until midnight on New Years. We took cable cars to the top of the Peak and we were so high, it was a little scary. I put a picture up of it. They have a California Pizza Kitchen there, so we ate there (twice) and at Ruth's Chris Steak House which was so good.
Marshall has become a terror on the subway. He is a pusher and tries to get in before anyone else to make sure he gets a seat. He always seems to get one though, and even asked someone for their seat (which they gave him). He actually fits right in here, because that everyone pushes their way around here. It has become a big source of entertainment for us and he is always so pleased with himself when he gets a seat. He made us laugh when we were getting them something to eat at a hotel lobby and the waitress was playing around with him and he says to us laughing as we are leaving, "I like her, leave her some money" Hopefully she didn't hear him.
On New Year's Day, we packed a little picnic with a good bottle of wine and found a place to enjoy the nice weather.
Anyway, we really had a fun time. Hope everyone had a great New Year's this year

I'm glad to read about your adventures all over the world. I suggest travelling to other cities in China, for example, Kunming, Xi'an, etc.
